The Philosop-HER's Salon is a bi-annual workshop retreat designed specifically for womxn teacher-preneurs in public education who are passionate about philosophy and amplifying marginalized voices.

This retreat will focus on the past, present, and future of transgressive and radical pedagogy, both within and beyond traditional academic structures. We invite you to submit workshop proposals that explore these themes and address the needs of womxn educators.

GOal: create a supportive network by connecting womxn philosophers and educators, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Day 2: Past Fight(s) - Open Call for WorkshopsÂ
Highlight historical figures and movements that championed marginalized perspectives in philosophy and academia.Â
Gaining inspiration from the history and legacy of radical philosophy in education.
GoaL: Champion marginalized voices by elevating the work of philosophers from diverse backgrounds, enriching the philosophical landscape for future generations.
Day 3: Present Fight(s) - Open Call for WorkshopsÂ
Identify most pressing current challenges facing marginalized perspectives in philosophy and academia.Â
Explore opportunities for creating inclusive and radical learning environments.
GoaL: Celebrate passion and purpose by providing a platform for womxn to connect, share ideas, and celebrate their dedication to education; no matter the obstacles.
Day 4: Future Fight(s) - Open Call for WorkshopsÂ
Imagine and build the future of philosophy education – together.
Brainstorm innovative approaches to teaching philosophy that empowers marginalized voices and dismantles traditional power structures.
GOaL: Empower transformative teaching through workshops, retreats, and resources, we equip educators with innovative strategies for radical and inclusive pedagogy.
Day 5: Fun Fight(s)
Brainstorming Workshop: Collaboratively develop the theme for the next Philosop-HER's Salon.
Local Team Building Activities (TBD)
We welcome proposals on all aspects of transgressive and radical pedagogy, including:

Submission Guidelines:
Workshop proposals should be no more than 250 words.
